Biography

Basal Hickerson was enumerated as son of the head of household in Osage & Kaw Indian Reservations, Osage County, Oklahoma Territory for the June 5, United States Census, 1900. He was noted as at school, born June 1891 in Oklahoma and single. Also included in the household are head Wm H Hickerson, wife Frances Hickerson, daughter Minnie Hickerson, son Clarence C Hickerson and son Vergil Hickerson as seen in an image of the original census.[1]

W B Hickerson was enumerated as son of the head of household at 12th Street, Pawhuska Ward 1, Osage County, Oklahoma for the April 18, United States Census, 1910. He was noted as born 1893 in Oklahoma and single. He was a plumber (shop) as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head W H Hickerson, wife Fannie Hickerson and son Virgil Hickerson.[2]

William Basil Hickerson registered for military service as recorded in this June 5, 1917 United States World War I Draft Registration Card. His birth is listed as June 8, 1891 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. His address was YMCA, Main, Muskogee County, Oklahoma. He was a salesman at Atlas Supply Company in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He listed his mother as dependent on him for support. He was medium height and of stout build with blue eyes and brown hair as seen in this image of the original form.[3]

William B Hickerson was enumerated as head of the household at 1020 Madison, Denver, Denver County, Colorado for the April 3, United States Census, 1930. He was noted as born 1892 in Oklahoma and married. He was a renter and an engineer (heating) as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Addie Hickerson, daughter Carolyn Hickerson, daughter Virginia Hickerson, son Warren Hickerson and daughter Marjean Hickerson.[4]

On April 1, 1935, William Hickerson lived in Denver County, Colorado.[5]

William Hickerson was enumerated as head of the household at 1636 Monroe Street, Tract 37, Denver, Election District O, Denver County, Colorado for the April 11, United States Census, 1940. He was noted as born 1891 in Oklahoma and married. He rented a home and was shown to be an agent (plumber's union) as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Addie Hickerson, daughter Carolyn Hickerson, daughter Virginia Hickerson, son Warren Hickerson and daughter Marjean Hickerson.[5]

Hickerson was listed as the father of Carolyn Hickerson Christison who died September 7, 1951 in Los Angeles County, California. The mother was listed as Mccoy.[6]

As listed in the Find A Grave Index,[7] William Basil Hickerson is buried at Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, Jefferson County, Colorado.[8]
