NOTE 1 Dinah Jane's middle name has also been listed as Jean. Dinah might have been a school teacher. The family lived in Fortune, Newfoundland then moved to Assiniboa, NWT (now Oxbow, Saskatchewan, Canada) in 1903 and 1904
NOTE2 There is a ten year gap between the first recorded child, Chesley Hickman Piercy and the second child, Augusta Bella Louisa Piercy; both were born in Fortune, Burin, Newfoundland. There is a Philip Percival Percy born 24 January 1896 and died 08 November 1896, born of parents Philip T. Percy and spouse Dinah J. Gordon wrote "On New Years Day in 1891, Philip Thomas Piercy and Dinah Jane Hickman were married in Fortune, Newfoundland. The result of this union was a family of five children LIVING TO MATURITY." [The capitalization is mine.]
