↑ Levi L. Glasson, 1934 WPA Headstone Inscriptions - Ancient Cemetery, Oak St., Naugatuck, p. 264. "Hickox, Samuel, died Apr. 18, 1879, age 98. Hickox, Sarah, wife of Samuel Hickox, died Jan. 19, 1879, age 93." The list gives the name of Samuel and the death year as 1879, but this appears to be an error for Gideon and Sarah (Upson), and an error for the year of death.
