Obituary: Elbert Hicks, 85, Park St. Willard died Saturday at his home after a short illness. He was born in Knott County KY and he has lived in Willard since 1945. He was a retired carman from the B&O Railroad. He had attended the Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church, south of Plymouth. He is survived by five sons, Herbert, Ellis and Lloyd, all of Willard; Norman, Los Angeles, California, Thurman, Oak Harbor; Five daughters, Omie Wright, Alice Moore, both of Willard, Violet Tackett and Edna Dugan, both of Shiloh, Ohio, Doris Miller New London, Ohio; 31 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; three brothers, John M, Dayton, Ohio, Orville, Roundhead, Ohio and Bert, Prestonburg, KY; two sisters, Millie Dudley, Maytown, KY and Polly Hayes, Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his first wife Hester, in 1968, two sons, Enis and Luther, one great-grandchild and four brothers.
