Silas Hicks was born on June 5, 1849 in Sackville, New Brunswick.[1] He was the son of Nathan Hicks and Sarah Finney. Silas was enumerated twice on the 1861 census - once with parents and once with his older brother Mariner Hicks[2]
He married Sarah E. Phinney on November 14, 1871.[3]They had (at least) six children, two of whom died as children.
Silas died on May 15, 1910. He was buried in the Midgic Cemetery.[4]
