Biography

Mary Hicks was born on May 10, 1831 at Felmingham, Norfolk, England. Her parents were Edmund Hicks and Susan Slapp. Mary was baptised at Felmingham on June 5, 183l.^[1] She was third in a family of sixteen children. In 1851 Mary was working as a Dairy Servant for Henry Smith at Bradfield.^[2] Mary married James Larner in Bradfield in the registration district of Tunstead, Norfolk on October 13, 1853.^[3]and they had three children. Mary died on April 13, 1900.^[4] The administration of her will was granted to her son William Helsdon Larner.^[5] Mary was buried with her husband in the Graveyard at Bradfield, The stone reads:
'James Larner Died 30.6.1876 Age 45
also his wife Mary
Died 14.4.1900 Age 68'
