Helen Gertrude Hicks was born on August 20, 1913 in Sackville, New Brunswick.[1] She was the daughter of Harvey Hicks and Addie Fillmore. She married Albert Smith on June 29, 1935 in Sackville, New Brunswick.[2]
In the April 2005 edition of the Tantramar Heritage Trust's newsletter The White Fence, Helen, age 91, contributed a story of her family's car trip to Boston in 1925, to visit her aunts and uncles who had moved there in the early 1920s.[3]
Helen died at the age of 101, on November 6, 2014.[4]
