Note: Rector Wade Hicks Birth: May 30, 1914 Calhoun County West Virginia, USA Death: Aug. 13, 1989 Akron Summit County Ohio, USA OBIT: Times Record Newspaper, p 6A Rector W. Hicks, 75, of Akron, Ohio, died Sunday, August 13, 1989 at the Akron City Hospital following a long illness. He was born at Chloe, a son of the late Henry Clay and Jerushia Jarvis Hicks. He had been a resident of the Akron area for the past 43 years. He was retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., and was member of the Home Missionary Baptist Church of Akron. His is survived by his wife, Bina A. Hicks; one daughter, Candice Burnside of Akron; one brother Hallie Hicks of Vienna; four sisters, Annie Harold of Orlando, Fla., Cora Fritz of Akron, Dorma Jarvis of Seville, Ohio, and Sylvia Risbin of Juno Beach, Fla.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Services were held at the Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, with the Rev. Jimmy Ellis and the Rev. Glendon McKee officiating. Burial followed in the Hicks Cemetery at Chloe.
