Research Notes
It is difficult to find documentation that proves that Abigail Hix the daughter of Barnard and Abigail (Moulton) Hix was the same woman who married Moses Eastabrooke. However, we note a couple pieces of indirect evidence:
- she named her first child Barnard
- to marry in 1767 and have a last child born in 1790, she as almost certainly born between 1745 and 1752. The only Abigail Hix/Hicks recorded born anywhere in the Province of Massachusetts Bay in that period was this Abigail.
