Biography

Birth and Parents

Rose (Hick) Burt was born in Minnesota.

Rose, the second daughter and second of seven children of George Hick (1845-1934) and Cynthia Ramer (1846-1904) was born in January 1868 at Winona, Minnesota.

In 1880, Rose (12 years, b. MN) was living with her parents George (33 years, b. Germany) and Cynthia (34 years, b. IN) and siblings Carrie (14 years, b. MN), Lily (8 years, b. MN), Ellen (3 years, b. MN) and Charles (1 year, b. MN) at Warren Township, Winona, Minnesota.^[1]

Marriage and Children

Rose married Eugene Francis Burt, the son of Charles Henry and Mary M. (Baldwin) Burt in 1885 at Winona. Minnesota. They had one child born at Lewiston, Minnesota:

1. Maude Rose Burt (b. 13 May 1888; d. 27 Mar 1965, Olmstead, MN)^[2]m. 30 Dec 1909 at Rochester, Winona, MN, Charles William Perry (1890-1951)

In 1900, Rose (32 years, b. MN), husband Eugene (39 years, b. Jun 1861 at WI, occupation Farmer) and daughter Maude (12 years, b. MN) were living at Warren Township, Winona, Minnesota.^[3]

Death and Burial

Rose Emma (Hick) Burt died on 20 December 1921 in her 53rd year at Utica and is buried in the Oakwood Cemetery at Utica, Winona, Minnesota.^[4]
