Amos (25) married Sarah Jane Cochran (20) (born about December 27, 1834 in Salisbury, Westmorland; daughter of George E. Cochran (about 1797–about 1877) and Ruby (Taylor) Cochran (about 1800–about 1889)) on 13 Jan 1855 in Moncton, Westmorland.[4] Their known children were:

Amos died on 28 Feb 1890 in Butternut Ridge, Westmorland, aged 60. He was buried in Butternut Ridge Loyalist & Adjoining Cemetery, Havelock.[6]
