B. (6, M), viii) Lena (4, F). Daniel Sr.'s occupation was a basket maker.

Sarah West, wife of Daniel Heistand, gave birth to a daughter, Nancy Ellen Heistand.

Daniel Houston [sic] (age 29, born Ohio) was living in Darby Township, Union County, Ohio as head of household with his wife, Sarah A. Houston [sic] (age 28, born Ohio), with their Houston [sic] children, born Ohio (age, sex): i) Nancy E. (2, F), ii) Mary C. (1, F); also in the household was a servant, Sarah E. Daniel Hiestand signed his last will and testament. In his will, Daniel listed the following people, their relationship to him, and bequeathals:
Sarah A. Hiestand - beloved wife, executor of estate, homestead on which we now live, being town lots #41, 43, 45 on Railroad Street, Unionville Center, Darby Township, Union County, Ohio, and including the livestock thereon, as well as household furniture. She has the estate for her natural life, and then it goes to Daniel's 3 children:
Nancy McCloud, daughter - 1/3 share of estate
James Heistand, son - 1/3 share of estate
Louisa Cooperider, daughter - 1/3 share of estate

Daniel Heistand (age 70, born Mar 1830 in Ohio) was lving in Unionville Center Village, Darby Township, Union County, Ohio as head of household with his wife of 43 years, Sarah A. Heistand (age 67, born Jun 1832 in Ohio), with their granddaughter, Etta McCloud (age 14, born Jul 1886 in Ohio). Daniel had no occupation listed. Sarah's occupation was carpet weaving.
Daniel Heistand died on 23 Dec 1906, and he was buried in the Old Darby Cemetery, Unionville Center, Union County, Ohio, USA.

Sarah A. Hiestand, widow of Daniel Hiestand, submitted to the County Court the last will and testament of Daniel Hiestand (deceased) and requested that it be entered for probate. The last will was proved in court by the subscribing witnesses and probate was initiated.

Sarah A. Hiestand, widow of Daniel Hiestand, applied for Daniel's military pension based on her being his widow.

1860 census - the 1860 federal census[5] has some inconsistencies with other primary sources for Daniel Heistand. In particular, their daughter, Louisa, appears to be missing (but she is included in the 1870 federal census[10].
