Hiestand (age 48, born Ohio), with his daughter-in-law (Asa's wife), Dora E. Hiestand (age 48, born Ohio), with their daughter (Amos' granddaughter), Dorothy E. (age 8, born Ohio). Asa's occupation was a laborer on the steam railroad.
Amos Hiestand (age 90 years, 6 months, 5 days) died on 18 Nov 1933 in Rawson, Union Township, Hancock County, Ohio,[1]
and he was buried in the Tawa Cemetery, Benton Ridge, Hancock County, Ohio, USA.[16][3]
The cause of death was chronic myocardial insufficiency, hypertrophy, & dilatation; contributing factor was senility. Amos was born on 13 May 1843 in Fairfield County, Ohio; his parents were Joseph Heistand [sic] and ____ Funkhouser. Amos' occupation had been a retired laborer. Amos was widowed at the time of his death; his wife had been Elizabeth Hiestand. The informant for the death certificate was Mrs. John Brenner of Rawson, Ohio.
