Biography

John was born in 1825, the son of Francis Higgins and Elizabeth Caldwell. He was wounded in action at Chapultepec, Mexico City, serving with the South Carolina Palmetto Regiment. He became a lawyer in Mississippi and passed away in 1861. [1]
