The date given for a marriage in 1795 is supposedly from a collection "Virginia Marriages 1851-1929." No record for 1795 exists in that collection. There is a record in "Virginia Marriages 1785-1940" for John Higgins, but it is for 1798 with a bride of Hannah Buffington. I can find no record source in Ancestry.com or FamilySearch.org that shows a record for Fannie Bauguess and John Higgins.

Bauguess-42 and Bauguess-14 appear to represent the same person because: Lynden, your research is good and very helpful. These are duplicates.

Thank you!
