John Higgs is part of a Bahamian family.

Biography

John was born in 1866 in Harbour Island, Bahamas, to Joshua Higgs and Margaret Albury.^[1]

He married Gertrude Carey in Key West, Florida on 04 Apr 1889.^[2] John and Gertrude and the kids were living at 517 Grinnell Street, Key West, Fl, in 1900.^[3] By 1920, they were in St Augustine, St John's County, Florida, at 65 Hipolita. Paul was still living at home. John was a cigar maker and in 1906/07 was working for La Bella Union Cigar Company.

John's wife, Gertrude, passed away in 1922.^[4]

He passed away in 1936^[5], and was buried in the Greenwood Cemetery in Orlando, Orange County, Florida.^[6]
