Margaret Hill Norton Mrs. Margaret Hill Norton, a resident of Burke Trail, Thomasville, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in the High Point Regional Hospital. She was born November 21, 1925 in Davidson County, N.C., a daughter of Cleveland Cletus Hill and Elizabeth Brinkley Hill. She was a graduate of Thomasville High School. Mrs. Norton formerly served as President of Celand Yarn Dyers, Inc. and Vice-President of Hill Hosiery Mill, Inc. She was a former member of the Thomasville Womans Club and the Advisory Board at Wachovia Bank. Mrs. Norton was a member of West End United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, playing bridge and ballroom dancing. In 1946 she was married to Joe H. Yokeley, who died April 2, 1979. In 1986 she married James G. Norton, who died November 1, 1997. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by sisters, Rebecca (Becky) Leonard and Joan Hester.

Surviving are sons, Steve Yokeley and wife Martha and Chris Yokeley and wife Suzan, both of Thomasville; grandchildren, Scott Yokeley and wife Kelle, Eric Yokeley and wife Jessica, Jonathan Yokeley and wife Heather and Erin Yokeley; six great-grandchildren; Step-daughters, Jean DeLaSerna of Pennsylvania and Carolyn Saylor and husband Cliff of Virginia; step-sons, James Norton and wife Betsy of Tennessee, David Norton and wife Diane of Georgia, and Doug Norton and wife Sally of Charlotte; sixteen step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.
