A previous version of this profile claimed she was the daughter of Richard Hills but there is no evidence for that connection.
She married first in England by about 1610 Thomas Harris, alias Williams. Many online profiles name her Elizabeth Hills, but proof of this maiden name has not been found. [1] "Elizabeth Williams"[2]
After her first husband died, she married William Stilson by 22 March 1632/3, when they were admitted as a married couple to the First Church in Charleston.[3] Stilson also took over the ferry business of Thomas Harris.
Her death is given as 16 Feb 1669/70, aged 93;[4] she was more likely a decade younger.
William Stilson wrote his will on April 12, 1689/90and in it he names, among others:
Elizabeth Harris married again in 1634, her second husband being Deacon William Stitson, an elder of the Puritan Church. The Mavericks of Devonshire and Massachusetts Author Cresswell, Beatrix F. [6]

Has her maiden name as 'HILL', but after reading many posts about this.
I find no docs stating her name is this. I think I have to agree with (Unknown) as her Maiden name (Unverified)
I agree. We'll leave her as Unknown LNAB.--Gene
Last name of Hills is mentioned and discounted in -461373. Same spouse Thomas Harris. No sources support dates on -392. Please merge to Unknown
Because there is no proof for Hills as maiden name (and no clue as to why Richard Hills is attached as father), the PPP should be removed after the proposed merge with Williams-3708 is either completed or rejected.
Thanks!
I think that Elizabeth Williams is a duplicate of Thomas's wife, Elizabeth Hills, who was attached as mother of a duplicate Anne Harris.
Thomas was aka "Williams alias Harris" - see Harris-640).
I don't know which birth year is correct (1593 or 1577), but the wife of (1) Thomas Harris & (2) William Stilson was probably born closer to 1600 (her husbands' profiles have birth years of 1590 & 1600). See comments on Williams-3708 about the 1577 birth year (including reference to an Elizabeth Williams baptized 1575) and also the text of Hills-568, which cites Anderson as saying "Many online profiles name her Elizabeth Hills, but proof of this maiden name has not been found."
If you reject the proposed merge, I think it best to detach her (Williams-3708) from being wife of Thomas Harris.
