The biography for Jane Hilton is empty. What can you add?
My father was Retired Col. Wilbur S. Hilton, born December 17, 1914 at Spokane, MO. My mother was Eula Grace (Neil) Hilton born December 2, 1916 at Lincoln, MO. My dad, mom, sister and brother were stationed in Germany where I was conceived and born. We were stationed back in the USA when I was 8 months old. Dad served his country for 34 years, 9 months and 8 days. I was 18 years old when dad retired and we moved to Pueblo, Co.
I have genealogy records that take me back to Enos Bird, who's daughter Nancy married Reverend Samuel Hilton. I have information that Enos Bird's father was John Bird, born 1699 in VA and died October 14, 1770 in Butt County, N.C. John Bird was married to Mary Needham in 1720. Mary was born 1703 in VA. I have no record of her death.
Thanks for info on Enos' parents. The bird surname shows up through out my Franklin line but I've never found a link to the Bird lineage. As to nativeAmerican ancestry, seems like every family that lived in NC ends up with native American ancestore. I'm still looking for mine. I've found where where your Hilton emigrant (Rev. Samual) was a slave owner in St Marys Co, MD. Some of those slaves were listed as negro & some as Creole (Native American?) - so you might have some native American ancestry among some of Sam'l's descendants. Oh what a web we weave Jack

VERY IMPORTANT: The more documents, sources, dates, and locations you provide on the profiles you create, the stronger your branches and our mutual global tree will be. If you don't know the correct date, please estimate using before or after.
Our mission is to build a global tree with just one profile per person, so please try very hard not to add any duplicates to our shared tree.
Hope you enjoy WikiTree!
