Sarah Anne Hilton was born in 1825. She is the daughter of George Hilton and his wife Abigail. She was christened on 5 Apr 1825 in St Michael and All Angels, Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire, England. At the time of her christening, the family was living in Hurst and her father was working as a collier.[1]
