Biography

Elizabeth was born about 1454-5. She was aged 22 in 1476, and 40 in 1495. She was still alive in 1509 when, with her husband, she conveyed rent on a property in Yorkshire to one Humphrey Coningsby and his wife.[1][2]

Elizabeth was co-heiress in 1476 to her brother, Godfrey Hilton, Esq.[1]She married Richard Thimbleby, Esq. of Holton-le-Moor, Bilsby, Harlaxton, Harpswell, Horsington, and Thorganby, Lincolnshire. They had three sons, and four daughters.[1][2]

Elizabeth was still alive in 1509 when she and her husband conveyed rent on a property in Yorkshire. Her husband, Richard Thimbleby, Esq. ,d 24 Apr 1522.[2]

Elizabeth Hilton has connections to multiple surety barons. In the WELBY line she is connected to Hugh le Bigod and Roger le Bigod. She is also connected to Robert de Ros in two lines, Robert FitzWalter, Saher de Quincy x2 and Henry de Bohun x2.
