The document edited by J.H. Himmelman notes that his gravestone at Pentz says he was born in 1786 & died in 1856.
He & his wife had 4 sons & 3 daughters. The couple lived in the family home of his parents (built 1805-1810), before passing it on to their own two bachelor sons, Michael & Daniel. The place was located "a short distance upriver from the ferry at LaHave."[1]
