Biography

Emily Whitlock was born at Woodstock in Oxfordshire, probably in early 1875. She was the daughter of John Whitlock and his wife Rhoda, born Rhoda Castle. ^{[1] [2] [3] [4]}

In 1881 Emily Whitlock was living in Brown's Lane at Woodstock with her parents, John and Rhoda, and their other children. Her age was given as 6, implying a birth date in 1874 or 1875. Her birthplace was given as Woodstock, Oxfordshire. She was at school. ^[2]

James Radford Hines (bachelor, aged 24), a chimney sweep, of Coventry, son of James Hines (deceased), chimney sweep; and Emily Whitlock (spinster, aged 22), of Woodstock, daughter of John Whitlock, glover; were married at Woodstock parish church on 7 June 1897. ^[3]

In 1901 according to the census Emily Hines was living in Bicester Market End, Oxfordshire, England. ^[4]
