James Leafice Hines, son of Albert L. Hines and Rhoda (Cox) Hines, was born on 3 March 1904 in Missouri.[1]
He appeared on the census of 11 February 1920 in the home of his parents at Black Oak, Craighead County, Arkansas.[2]
He married Fannie Marie Halcomb, daughter of Henry M. Holcomb and Lottie R. (Brown) Holcomb, on 6 January 1925 at Butler County, Missouri.[3]
He was a farmer when he and Fannie appeared on the census of 15 April 1930 at Beat 3, Sunflower County, Mississippi. His brother was living with them.[4] He was a fisherman when he and Fannie appeared on the census of 8 April 1940 at Washington County, Mississippi.[5] He was making poles and timber when he and Fannie appeared on the census of 6 April 1950 in the home of his parents at Heber, Cleburne, Arkansas.[6]
James and Fannie were divorced on 3 March 1951 at Cleburne County, Arkansas.[7]
James died on 2 December 1992[1] in Bowie County, Texas.[8] and was buried at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Bowie County, Texas. His memorial has a photo and links to those of family members.[9]
