Martha Elizabeth Hinton was born c. 1798. She was the daughter of John Hinton IV (1770-1844) and Sarah Bryan (1779-1815).
Marriage and Family
She married John Williams Graves (1792-1847) on 24 October 1814 in Wake County, North Carolina.
They settled first at his home in Caswell County.
Around 1820 they moved to Georgia and on July 17, 1820, purchased 580 acres between Greenbrier and Freeman creeks in Clarke (Oconee) County, near Watkinsville. Around 1836, he moved his family and slaves 36 miles southwest to Newton County, where he purchased Longwood Plantation. See her husband's profile.

Claudia Hinton Graves was born on 30 April 1828 in Clarke (Oconee) County, Georgia, USA. She married Oliver H. Lee (c.1820-1855) on 8 April 1846 in Newton County, Georgia. Claudia died on 9 May 1891.

Martha died on 19 January 1862 in Rome, Floyd, Georgia, USA at the age of 64.
