George Hinton was born in 1849 the son of Charles and Sarah. [1]

http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article135851250 Newcastle Morning Herald and Miners' Advocate (NSW : 1876 - 1954), Friday 1 August 1884, page 3 George Hinton, bootmaker, was found guilty of having deserted his two young sons, George Charles and John Henry. He was ordered .to pay 15s weekly towards their support for twelve monthls. together with 6s 6d court costs; first payment next Thursday.
