DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Richard by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Richard:
Hiscott-9 and Hiscott-8 appear to represent the same person because: same name, same wife, same son. Both born in England. Birth dates span 10 years, but either birth-year is possible relative to son's birthdate.
Thank you for the note about Richard Hiscott. I have a copy of the probate and it is still uncertain if this is part of my family. It looks promising, but I am not sure it fits. There are a number of families who left Longbridge Deverill and came to Ontario in Niagara & Peterborough.
I keep looking for more Hiscotts.
