George Allen HITCHCOCK, d December 1929 born September 4th 1864 at Mina, Chautauqua CO NY, the second of a family of 9 children born to Mr and Mrs. Robert HITCHCOCK, Most of his boyhood and much of his adulthood were spent in the vicinity where he was born. April 14, 1891 he was united in marriage with Miss Louie (?) MUNGER of Clymer NY who survives. Of this union, 4 children were born, Mrs. William KNAUER, Attica NY, Mrs. Hilton NUTTAL of Findley Lake, Roland and Victor HITCHCOCK at home. Brothers and sisters who survive are; Elmer Mina NY, Emmett North East Erie CO PA, Mrs. L. J. ROLPH Findley Lake, Mrs. Jay HOLDRIDGE and Mrs George ROUSE of Sherman NY, and Mrs David EDWARDS of Mayville NY. Mr HITCHCOCK for 20 years was owner and prop. Of the General store at French Creek, and later was involved with his son in law William KNAUER in road construction. Retiring from this several years ago, he purchased a farm 3 miles from this town where he has since resided . The funeral was held from St. Gregory’s Church and internment in the Catholic cemetery 3 miles west of town,
