Research Notes

  • The 1860 U.S. Census shows William and Ann with three children. Elizabeth age 9; Emma age 6; and Frank age 3. This would put Elizabeth's birth at about 1851. The 1900 census shows William and Ann being married for 46 years. This would make their marriage at about 1854. Perhaps finding Elizabeth's birth record or William and Ann's marriage record would shed insight on these dates.
  • The 1860 census has daughter Emma at 6 years old. This would put her birth at about 1854. However, the 1900 census has her birth in July 1860.
  • This profile had Ann's middle name as Celia. However, there are no sources for this name. She is always seen as Ann C..
