William Hitchcock was born in 1691 or 1713 in Calvert, Maryland. [citation needed]
These appear to be William Jr.'s kids??????????
William, Joshua and John Hitchcock (and at least one sister) migrated from a part of Baltimore County, Maryland, that later became Harford County, Maryland.
Isaac married Nancy Horne in Maryland and settled in a part of Rowan County that is now Davidson County, North Carolina.
William, Joshua, and John settled in Guilford County, North Carolina.
William, Isaac and John all died where they settled but it is known only where one is buried: John Hitchcock is buried in Abbotts Creek Primitive Baptist Cemetery, Davidson County, North Carolina. Joshua left Guilford County and removed to Ashe County, North Carolina, and then to Floyd County, Kentucky, where he died.

In 1733 he was given Bednall Green (100 Acres) which was obtained by his father, through a land patient filed in 1714 and granted in 1717. The land is located across the river from what is now Franklinville.
Residence:
Date: 1739
Place: Baltimore County, Province of Maryland[8][9]
In 1752 he gave his oldest son, Isaac 50 acres of Bednall Green. All of Bednall Green as well as 28 acres of Hitchcock's Hope (obtained in 1752) as well as 45 acres of The Grindstone (obtained in 1754) was deeded over to John Bond. It was a sad day as most of this land had been farmed by the Hitchcock family for 41 years.
By 1755 most of the land around Joppa Town had been sold due to the decline in Joppa Port and the impoverishment of the soil and many of the family members moved to the Carolina's and other places both north and south during the Revolutionary Period.

Hitchcock-2432 and Hitchcock-315 appear to represent the same person because: I believe William Hitchcock III is my wife's ancestor. William (1710-1772) was the father of John Hitchcock (1747-1832). His son had the last name changed to Hedgecoth. John Hedgecoth (1777-1850) was the father of Bazel (1807-1912) who was the father of Anderson (1871-1949), the father of Lucinda (1915-1996) who was the mother of my wife's mother.
Hitchcock-1339 and Hitchcock-1345 appear to represent the same person because: Both have parents of William Hitchcock II, spouse of Susannah Slade, and same date of death. Mother is Mary Jones.
