Isaac Hite (son of Jost Hite and Anna Maria Merckle) was born May 12, 1721 in Perkiomen, Chester County, Pennsylvania; died September 28, 1795 in Long Meadows, Frederic County, Virginia; married Alida Elenor Elting April 12, 1745; born April 29, 1724, died November 10, 1792.
Isaac Hite, third son of Yost Hite and Anna Maria, nee du Bois b. 1723 d. 1792, called Colonel, whether by courtesy of right is not known. Married in 1745 Elanor (Helita in Dutch) Eltinge b. 1724 d. 1793, daughter of Cornelius Eltinge and Rebecca nee Van Meter.[1]
In 1740, Isaac traveled fourteen miles south of Springdale, near his eldest brother John. He settled in the meadow land and called his home “Long Meadows, which name is still retained in 1905. All his daughters were married in the house that he built there.
The family burying ground was in the meadow not far from the house. Here Mrs. Buchanan, Isaac and Eleanor were buried and most of their descendants.

Eleanor Eltinge was born April 29, 1724, and she died Nov 10, 1792.[1]
