All sources I have seen of this person show Winifred Hix and similar variants (esp. Hicks). Are there original records for names Susanna and Grimes? Would it be fair to give her name as Winifred Hix (removing Susanna and Grimes) and then discuss those unsourced variants in the notes?

But when I tried to execute the merge, it failed. There seemed to be something within the settings which prevented me doing the merge, so I sent a message to Jeanne which included a number of found citations to place within the biography and sources section, as well as a link which clarifies the confusion over the name: Susanna Winifred Grimes Hix (also Hicks), preferred name, Winifred.
Hix-146 and Hix-517 appear to represent the same person because: same name, exact same spouse (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Bates-1442), same birth date (typical 1 year off is fine), same death year, both lived in virginia.
