Biography

Margaret Hixson was born February 12, 1787 in Prince William County, Virginia.^[1]
She was the daughter of "Jas Hixon" and "Isabella Hixon". ^[2]

Margaret HIxson married Sanford Rogers about 1809 in Virginia. ^[3]

Margaret Rogers appears at age 63 in the 1860 US Census in Loudon County, Virginia, with her husband Sanford Rogers-75 (transcribed as Landford Rogers), Jane Mott (Nutt)-40, Catherine Rogers-22, Alice Rogers-21, Cuthbert Rogers-20, Catherine Mott (Nutt)-16, and George Mott (Nutt)-11. ^[4]

Margaret Rogers appears at age 73 in the 1860 US Census in Loudon County, Virginia, with her husband Sanford-75, their son Cuthbert-30, their daughter Jane Nutt-50, and 2 grandchildren, Catherine Nutt-25, and Whitfield Nutt-20.^[5]

Margaret Hixson Rogers died April 27, 1864 in Mt. Pleasant, Loudoun Virginia, at the age of 77, and was buried in the Sharon Cemetery in Middleburg, Loudoun County, Virginia, USA.^{[2] [6]}
