Biography

The Hoadley Genealogy: A History of the Descendants of William Hoadley of Branford, Connecticut Together with Some Account of Other Families of the Name on page 15 states:

"Timothy Hoadley (Samuel 3, William1), born 14 July 1709 in Branford, Conn.; died 19 July 1772 in Branford; married 20 February 1732-3 in Branford, Mary Harrison, daughter of John and Rebecca (Truesdell) Harrison, born 25 July 1710 in Branford; died 26 April 1795 in Branford.

Timothy Hoadley was the first of the family to settle in that part of Branford now the parish of Northford in North Bradford, and was known as "Sergeant" Hoadley. His house in Northford is still in possession of the family."[1]

Burial

The Hoadley Genealogy: A History of the Descendants of William Hoadley of Branford, Connecticut Together with Some Account of Other Families of the Name on page 15 states:

"He and his wife and many of their descendants lie buried in Northford burying-ground.

In memory of Mr. Timothy Hoadley who departed this life July 19, 1772, aged 63 years."[2]
