Dorcas was born in 1855. She is the daughter of William Hoar and Anna Carpenter. She married Eugene Tuttle on 4 July 1871 in Adrian, Lenawee, Michigan, and they had son Edwin Eugene Tuttle together. She was only 23 when she passed away in 1878 in Seneca, Lenawee, Michigan.
