Biography

Arthur was a son of Edward Hobbs and Annie Close, and grandson of the Reverend John Hobbs, one of the early Wesleyan missionaries at Hokianga, North Auckland.

Arthur and his brother John Close Hobbs established an apiary of Aorangi Road, Manawatu in 1896. [1]

Buried in Purewa Cemetery, Auckland block C row 7 plot 32
