He died in 1863 in Morristown, Hamblen, Tennessee and is buried at the Economy United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hamblen County, Tennessee,

He first married Mildred "Mary" Hargis (she went by Polly), the mother of his twelve children. He married Cynthia ___ about 1850, and in his later days remarried Ozina King Carringer. He was a minister and lived most of his days in Lee County, Virginia. His children include Dr. Creed Fulton Hobbs, and Rachel Hobbs.”…. Excerpted
1850 Census has Nathan, age 55, and his wife, Cynthia (Ozina), age 40, living in District 31, Lee Co., VA. Nathan is a farmer. There are five children in the household; Samuel P., age 21, Creed F., age 16, Mary C., age 13, Catharine D., age 11, and Sarah H. age 9. (from the Find A Grave Memorial 127598639, "BASED ON CURRENT RESEARCH, IT IS BELIEVED CREED FULTON HOBBS WAS THE SON OF NATHAN AND ROSA OZINA KING HOBBS." However, this profile on WikiTree indicates Nathan married Cynthia in 1850. Rosa King may be another marriage later?
