Biography
Thomas Hobbs married Margaret Phelps in England in 1735[1] according to an index-only Ancestry record. Another index-only record documents his death in the same town in England in 1804.[2]
Research note
I adopted this profile and so far see no real proof that this man is the father of Elizabeth Hobbs as is currently shown (nor for that matter that the Elizabeth who married George Kirkman was actually Elizabeth Hobbs). Thomas's will is available at Ancestry.com[3][4], and transcribing it may be useful, although if he had had a daughter who emigrated to America, it could be understood if they had lost touch and he did not leave her anything. The will is in a sort of Old English script and very hard to read. - Kelts-7 19:06, 7 December 2019 (UTC)
