George, Janet and their four children, William, Thomas, David and Christina immigrated to Sydney, Australia in 1878 aboard the ship Hereford. They later moved to New Zealand.
My understanding was that the family moved there to work in a new steel mill near the Blue Mountains. (Lithgow iron works circa 1875-1920's perhaps?)
At a later date they moved to New Zealand.
