Biography

Ann Barnard Hodge was born on December 16, 1834 in Wendron, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom, daughter of Richard Hodge (1797–1851) and Ann Barnard (1796–1858).[1]

In 1841, Ann (6) was living in Wendron, Cornwall with her parents, Richard (43) and Ann (45); and her son, William (12). [2]

In 1851, Ann (16)'s occupation was 'tin miner'. She was living in household of Ann Hodge (57) in Wendron in Helston registration district in Cornwall with her mother, Ann (57); and her brother, William (22). [3]

Ann (19) married Charles Rowe (23) (born on July 16, 1830 in Cornwall) on May 17, 1854 in Wendron.[4]

25 May 1854, one week after their marriage, Charles and Anne boarded the 'William Prowse' at Plymouth and left for Port Adelaide, Aust. arriving on 24 Aug 1854.

Their children were:

Ann died on July 23, 1896[5] in Moonta Mines, South Australia, aged 61.[6]
