I have also additional information. Konrad Hofer and wife Helena Goermann and three children Hermann, Sophie and Magdalena immigrated to the America in 1848. After effects of the 1848/49 revolution were men from the people side opposed the state were persecuted, some were shot others in time were released from prison. This Konrad Hofer family fled Germany and came to America in 1848 They had four more children Maria Anna * 5 Jul 1849, Otto *14 Apr 1851, Caroline * 24 Apr 1854 and Louise born about 1857. They lived in Hamburg, Erie Co,. NY, and attended the St. Peter and Paul RC church.

Mr and Mrs Hofer apparently lived at Hamburg, New York and then in Peoria County, Illinois. She died on August 18, 1902 at the age of 84 and was buried from Sacred Heart Church in Peoria.
