"Mrs. Amalie Hofer Jerome, former Chicagoan prominent in educational circles, died yesterday while visiting at the home of a friend at 1340 East 48th Street. For the last five years Mrs. Jerome has lived in Lakeside, Mich. She was author of a novel, and in 1924 she gave a collection of educational literature to the Crerar Library. Surviving are two sisters. Private services will be held today."
