Biography

Maria was born in 1878 in Harrison County, West Virginia, probably in Clarksburg where her family lived. She was the daughter of Silas Hoff and Lydia Robinson. Her father was a cabinet maker and butcher. Maria died two years later in 1880 of scarlet fever in Harrison County and is buried with her family in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Clarksburg, WV.
