Biography
Laura was the daughter of Francis Holden and Abigail (Closson) Holden of Westminster, Vermont. She married De Louis Wellman in 1816, and was the mother of his children Maria born about 1818, Abigail born in 1820, Louis Holden born in 1821, Wade Hampton born in 1823, Henry De Louis born in 1825, Timothy born in 1827, Marcia G. born in 1829, Laura Rosina born in 1831, and Francis Holden born in 1832, before she died in childbirth with their tenth child.
Laura (Holden) Wellman died from complications of childbirth.
