Biography

Elizabeth was born about 1783.

She was living with her daughter Eva (Leinbach) Rank and her husband John Rank in Forsyth Co. NC in the 1850, 1860, and 1870 census. John and Eva moved to Boone Co. IN before the 1880 census, but Elizabeth is not living with them there, nor is she in the 1880 Forsyth County census.

Elizabeth Leinbach (born Holder) 1783 - 1850

Birth: 1783 Harnett, NC,

This must be a confusion with a different Elizabeth Holder. George Holder and Mary Margaret Null lived in Stokes County NC, which is nowhere near Harnett County. She is most likely the Elizabeth Holder who was baptized on 29 Jan 1786 in Shiloh Lutheran Church, which was in Surry County at the time, and is now in Forsyth County. The eastern part of Surry County became Stokes in 1789, and the southern part of Stokes became Forsyth in 1849. [Elizabeth Harris, June 7, 2017]

Marriage: Benjamin Leinbach Apr 24 1810 Stokes, NC, USA

Death: Oct 1850 Forsythe, NC, USA

What is the source for this date? Census records show an Elizabeth Leinbach of her age living with Eva (Leinbach) Rank, a daughter of Benjamin Leinbach and Elizabeth Holder, in Forsyth County NC in 1860 and 1870. [Elizabeth Harris, June 7, 2017.]

Husband: Benjamin Leinbach 1782 - 1828

Children:

  1. Louisa Magdalena "lucy Margaret" Leinbach 1812 - 1900WikiTree profileLeinback-94
  2. Benjamin Franklin Leinbach 1814 - ?

Holder-2024 and Holder-611 appear to represent the same person because: The Elizabeth Holder who married Benjamin Leinbach was definitely the daughter of George Holder and Mary Margaret Null (see Holder-611) but she was previously not linked to her husband.
