Duplicate Profile Warning

This profile is for somebody who may have never existed. No sources were included and it may be a duplicate of a legitimate Magna Carta descendant. It is being left in place to hopefully prevent similar or duplicate profiles from being created.

It appears to be a bad duplicate of the "real" Elizabeth Holder (1665-1715) who married the "real" John Alloway (1660-1715) about 1682 and was the daughter of the "real" Mary Scott (1640-1665) and the "real" Christopher Holder (1631-1688). It also appears to be a duplicate of another bad duplicate Elizabeth Holder, a merge is pending.

Disputed Associations

Elizabeth Holder did not marry William Chase Jr. (abt.1622-1685), and that association has been severed. Elizabeth Holder, the daughter of Christopher Holder and Mary Scott, was born 4 January 1665. See Elizabeth (Holder) Alloway (1665-bef.1715); she was too young to have been William Chase's wife.

Biography

Elizabeth Holder was born 4 years after her parents immigrated to America from England. Her parents were Christopher Holder and Mary Scott. Her parents settled in Cape Cod later moving to Rhode Island. Elizabeth's family is an often complicated family to trace. Her parents Christopher Holder and Mary Scott are often confused with another couple related to the family. Elizabeth's brother "Christopher" named after her father married his first cousin "Mary Scott" This is the same name as his Mother. In fact this Mary Scott was his first cousin. Christopher, Elizabeth's brother was an often written about Quaker. He once even had his ear cut off and was whipped by officials for his faith. Many mistakes are made when tracing Elizabeth's family. Her brother is often confused with her father, and her sister in law is often confused with her mother. You can only follow the line by looking carefully at the birthdates.

Elizabeth married William Chase in 1644 on Cape Cod. She and William had 8 children: John, Samuel, Jacob, William, Joseph, Benjamin, Abraham, and Elizabeth. She is buried in Baptist Church Cemetery. West Harwich, Barnstable County, MA.

Stripping out the extraneous non-sources such as "US and International Marriage Records" that are computer-aggregated databases of user genealogy submissions to ancestry.com, usually from unsourced family trees. FindaGrave is not considered a source unless it lists it's actual primary sources. The proposed merge should go through just for cleanup purposes but real sources need to be added to this profile and her parents.

She was not the spouse of WIlliam Chase, and none of the children of William Chase's are hers.

Holder-3705 and Holder-821 appear to represent the same person because: Appears to be same person and spouse.

This appears to have an incorrect birthdate and to be conflated with Holder-21. She should be the daughter of Holder-22, not Holder-921.

You might wish to reconsider the birthplace of Holder-821 or her birth date.
