Biography

"... Uriel(4) Stewart (James3, James2, Alexander1) born Nov 23, 1765, married Anna Holgate. Anna Holgate was the daughter of Asa Holgate and Martha McKathan. Uriel and Anna married February 20, 1789 in Shoreham, CT. He was the "Rial" Stewart living in Granville, Washington, NY, in the first census, 1790, with two boys under 16, and five females. They removed to Westford, Chittenden county, Vt. he died there Oct 24, 1833, aged 67, and the widow Anna died 2 Jan 1843, aged 78. Children:

  1. Alvan(5) b 1790 Granville, NY; ... Utica. His son Alvan(6) had Alvan(7) and Douglas(7).
