Biography

Theodore R. "Pete" Hollingsworth was born June 4, 1905 in Atlanta, Georgia. ^{[1] [2]}

He was married to Grace Mayo about 1923. ^[3] They lived in Atlanta. He had three children.

In 1940, he was employed as an upholsterer. ^[2] By 1945, they had moved to Orlando, Florida. ^[4]

He was divorced from Grace in 1948. ^[5]

In the 1950 census Theodore (age 44), Upholster, lived with his sister and brother in Forest Park, Clayton, Georgia. ^{[6] [7]}

He died on January 17, 1958 in Atlanta, Georgia. ^[8]

Research Notes

He is believed to have been buried at Crest Lawn Cemetery. ^[9]

His mother was Mrs. Minnie L. Hollingsworth, (c. 1875-1946). ^[10]

   "Theodore Roosevelt Hollingsworth of 1043 Ormwood Ave., SE, died unexpectedly Friday night at his home. Relatives attributed his death to a heart attack. Born in Atlanta, Mr. Hollingsworth lived for a time in Florida and New York, but had lived in Atlanta most of his life. He was an interior decorator.... Surviving are two daughters, Mrs, Houston Rice, Miami, Fla.; Mrs. Charles Miles, Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Lona Wakefield, and a brother, Robert L. Hollingsworth, both of Atlanta."
