Biography

Born to George Hollingsworth (1700 - 1766 and Hannah Nelson-Hollingsworth (Henderson) April 25, 1739 1700 - 1766 Gunpowder, Baltimore County, Maryland, The Colonies

Death: 1786 --Gunpowder Farms, Harford County, Maryland

Apparently the "Narrative" story that we, the Puntenney descendants, have used as the basis for the family lineage is WRONG::: the new source which is available at some libraries and at the LDS Center on microfilm says, "Joseph Puntenney was born in either 1727 or 1728 and died before 26 Aug. 1780 in Harford cnty Maryland. He married Sarah Hollingsworth, daughter of George Hollingsworth and Hannah Nelson.(the parents part is not new, I knew that but the next part)

(I have a copy, wonder IF I should copy/paste it to a FREE SPACE????)

She (Sarah) was born 25 April 1739 in Baltimore cnty., Maryland and died before 30 Dec. 1786."

So to this descendant, WOW according to the remembrance story of George H. Puntenney SR, Joseph came to America with Sarah whom he married in England, with his brother William.... however, this reader will reread that story and enjoy the differences... like I know that that narrative never mentions a father-in-law, by the name of George Hollingsworth that was in fact living near them in Baltimore cnty, Maryland.

Sarah & Joseph came to America 1744-45 as per the "George Hollingsworth Puntenney SR Remembrance Story" as to told to his grandson. I have not found on any passenger list, yet. Joseph is a Patriot with the DAR- George H Puntenney SR in the DAR records, this is the 19 page Declaration where George tried to get pension and was denied. I was also denied to add him to the Patriots list in the DAR/ 9 children including my g-g-g-grandfather George SR also the Rev War Declaration by George Sr with a letter of request from Mrs Pennywitt in the 1930-40s

except for the parents names George Hollingsworth and Hannah Nelson-Hollingsworth we have nothing UNTIL NOW

Please if anyone has any actual proof, like a copy of the "Immigration" record of George Hollingsworth arr'g in America please email it to me or feel free to post it here.
