NOTE: The Clark Hollis LINKED has DOB "1723", so I guess I will go into that profile and add the correct DATA from the ENTRY of St. George's Parish Register, that MATCHES what you have for his DOB.
The following notes are from Prouse-92 It is interesting that Clark Hollis makes no mention of being married to Clare. Whoever wrote the article below made it a point to say, “ There can be no doubt that he was, indeed, a son of Clark Hollis by his first and only wife Hannah Lecia (Hynson) Hollis; born circa 1760.” What is the story??? Clark died in 1790 and Claradine Hollis is included in the 1790 Census under that name. Were they not married or divorced. . .? Claradine’s Will states: Will of Clair Hollis, Caroline County, Maryland In the name of God Amen, I Clair Holliss , widow of Clark Hollis late of Caroline County,
I am interested in corresponding with any person related to the Clark HOLLIS family of early Sussex Co, DE. He is the subject of a compiled work by Albert D. Bell, titled The Hollis Notes. 95 - Chester J. Hollis, 5667 Pine Court, Cypress, CA 90630-3897.

Abstract of the Will of Clark Hollis
(dated 24 Oct. 1789 pr 6 Feb 1790)
(Vol. JR#B, folio 149: Denton, Md.)
(Original in Md Archives, Annapolis)
I, Clark Hollis, of Caroline County and State of Maryland, being in perfect health and of sound and disposing mind, emory and understanding, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say:
I give and bequeath all the money that shall or may be due or owing to me from from a certain Thomas Baynard his heirs or assigns for two tracts of land sold the said Baynard, unto my five children following, viz, Clark Frisby Hollis, Amos Hollis, John Hollis, Levish Rodes, and Lesha Hollis, their heirs and assigns, etc.
Thomas Baynard was named Executor of the estate.
Note: William Hollis, eldest son of Clark and hannah Lecia (Hynson) Hollis, was not mentioned in the will. He and his brother Amos (the latter usually known as Hinson Hollis) signed the inventory of their father’s estate, 9 Aug. 1790. It was not uncommon for a father to make substantial gifts to his children, while alive, which probably was done in the case of William Hollis. There can be no doubt that he was, indeed, a son of Clark Hollis by his first and only wife Hannah Lecia (Hynson) Hollis; born circa 1760.
Amos Hinson Hollis was born circa 1765, a son of Clark and Hannah Lecia (Hynson) Hollis. He drew his will 17 October 1806; will probated in Sussex Co, Del., 19 Nov 1806. Heirs named: Wife, Sylvia; sons Clark, Dennard, clement, Zadock, William, and Hinson Hollis: daughters Peggy and Nancy Hollis. Witnesses to will: Lovey Hollis (nee Spence, wife of Frisby Hollis), and Levin Todd. Wills and Administrations, Sussex County, vol. A 77, pp. 143-144; Del. Archives, Dover.
Sylva Hollis, widow of Amos Hinson Hollis, died in June or July 1817. She named in her will sons Dennard, Zadock, William, and Hinson Hollis; daughters Peggy Hennings and Nancy Hollis. To her ‘sister’ (in law)Lova Hollis she willed one negro girl called Mary. William Hollis John Hollis (brother-in-law) and Joseph Gray, witnesses. Wills and Administrations, Sussex County, vol. A 77 (see index) Archives, Dover
Clark and clement may have died between 1806 and 1817. Del. Marriage Records in the Archives at Dover, show the following marriages of children of Hinson and Sylva Hollis: Amos (Hinson) Hollis, Elizabeth Gullett, 24 Feb 1803 Dennard Hollis Elizabeth Merino 22 Jun 1820 Dennard Hollis bride’s name missing 14 Oct 1823 Zadock Hollis Elizabeth Hennis, 17 Oct 1825 William Hollis Elizabeth Lane 28 Apr 1825 Peggy Hollis William Hennings 2 Jan 1817
